9/5 Introduction to EACH OTHER and Class; How do we do Philosophy? HOW DO WE READ???; BEGIN DISCUSSING Decolonizing Pedagogies, Read sections on “Sacred Metaphysics and Core Philosophical Tenets of Native American Thought: Identity (Place, Space), Shared History (Place, Time), and Personality (Sacred Emergence of Relations)”;
9/7 Setting our role: Sullivan-Clarke Decolonizing Pedagogies, Hester In American Indian Thought (AIT), Mignolo De-Linking. How does Colonization present a problem for doing Philosophy?
Assignment: Over the weekend define the 13 terms; Start the resource document; First STUDENT GUIDED DISCUSSIONS
Week 2: Metaphysics

1. Report back on the 13 definitions.
2. Finish discussing the theoretical and practical approaches to de-colonization.
3. Discuss Anne Waters Sacred Metaphysics in WEEK ONE FOLDER.
Required readings for today: Anne Waters' Sacred Metaphysics in WEEK ONE FOLDER. AND Mignolo's "De-Linking" (read as much as you can) AND De-Colonizing Pedagogies HANDOUT AND the FIRST HESTER Article in AIT.
